Samus Aran in Metroid Other M trailer younger than expected?

Maybe she isn’t younger than expected for some, but she was a lot younger than I was expecting. I always imagine a new Samus might actually match up to her bio data, that of a tall, well trained officer who has many years of experience under her belt. In Metroid Other M Samus looks more like a bratty teenager than a seasoned bounty hunter. It’s almost like Nintendo can’t bring themselves to make anything other than a cartoony / family friendly character. This is a shame as Samus is one of the coolest female games characters out there, one of the first as it happens, that said this is just an opinion and there’s bound to be those who like the idea of controlling a teenage girl who’s meant to be a tough ass bounty hunter.
