Whirl Tour – Bullet Review
Extreme sports…. on a micro scooter?! Surely not? This game didn’t really seem to know just what is was but in essence can be described as an extreme sports adventure mystery title. You play the roadie of a new rock band ‘Flipside’ and it’s your job to rescue each member after they’re mysteriously captured. The graphics look great, colorful, bright and it’s not all too serious. The music is actually pretty good.
The gameplay… ugh. You ride your scooter (which can take the form or gas, electric or rocket powered) around the levels trying to unravel the mystery. Unfortunately what could have been an enjoyable jaunt is marred by clunky controls, the damn scooter can be so difficult to control you’ll end up not caring if the band are in the pits of MTV hell. Buy Aggressive Inline or THPS instead.
